In the heart of the "Capo di Leuca", there is the residence resort Puglia of Borgo Cardigliano, it lies a few miles from the sea, there you will find this structure of particolar architectural and historic interest, absolutely original and unique in its rural context. Residence resort Puglia Borgo Cardigliano is immersed in the sweet quiet of the Salentine countryside among green olives and typical dry stone buildings, this village is amazing for its size and historical background. The actual structure go's back to the beginning of the 1900's and is a classical example of industrial technology as it was built for the manufacturing of Tobacco and was fully self-sufficient (there was a church, a school, a grocer's shop and all of the workers houses and free time facilities.). The hotel was built using the old tobacco storehouse and each room is furnished in a different style. The residences, obtained by renovating the old farmers houses, have typical star shaped ceilings and are divided in 2,4 and 6 bed apartments. A few have kitchens and all have air-conditioning, television, mini-bar and bathroom.
