The Mosca farmhouse Apulia is a hotel in the town of Gallipoli in the province of Lecce, Puglia, Italy. The oldest part of the building originates from the seventh century. Originally the farm was an oil press and was built from the local Leccese stone, which is so proliferate here, and so it is steeped with the history of oil production. Today, without a major radical change to the original buildings Farmhouse Mosca has been converted into a hotel divided into apartments. It is a hotel with an atmosphere completely different to other hotels, and is furnished and equipped with every comfort.
The farmhouse Apulia is about 40 km from Lecce and a few kilometres from the Ionian Sea. Each apartment has their own entrance and is sympathetically furnished to mirror the surroundings. The fixtures and furnishings are from materials local to the area, linens, crockery, cutlery etc. The kitchenettes are fitted with all mod-cons including dishwashers (!), air conditioning, terraces, and there are wonderful gardens that surround the farmhouse. Here you will find lawns, and olive trees, prickly pear plants and all the flora and aromas of the Mediterranean which also surround the swimming pool. This pool is private and only for the use of the hotels guests. However, there is always the pull of the sea not far away at Gallipoli to tempt the holiday maker as well.
